Round rock orthopedic was bought out by ascension Seton. It's a nightmare. You can't reach park office.. you're routed to main switch board that doesn't know anything about doctors nor there names. It's more than an hour on hold to make an appointment. To save your place in queue and get call back is 6 hours later. Then after waiting 6 weeks for my appointment, they call to tell me they need to reschedule... doctor is overbooked.. I've used this orthopedic office prior to buy out and there were never any delays, staff knowledgeable, etc... I would NEVER recommend this office nor any seton ascension orthopedic doctors...

I had surgery for a torn meniscus at OACT with Dr Borick on 11/29/21 and I am still recovering, in pain and cannot walk far. The surgery was supposed to be pretty straightforward but somehow he ended up botching it. I was told the surgery may not work but wasn’t told I’d be in worse condition. I explained to Dr Borick that I am unable to work, I’m in pain, and have no income and he basically told me that it was my fault and didn’t care. I’m now in the care of the fine doctors at Texas Orthopedics. The new surgeon says he wouldn’t have gone the same route that Borick had taken. I’ve contacted the administration at OACT but haven’t heard from them at all. I guess no one there cares after they’ve gotten paid. Stay away from OACT!

Absolutely abysmal. TRUST THE OTHER REVIEWS WHO SAY SEEING RUMI & ALL OTHERS IS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. I broke my arm on February 5 and was referred to Orthopedic Associates for a follow up. Spent a $50 copay on a 5 minute visit for him to ask me to make a few hand gestures and then send me on my way with an order for a CT scan and a follow up appointment a few weeks later. Didn’t even show me any X-rays, was as if he felt like I was wasting his time. Got the feeling he wasn’t interested since it wasn’t a big (relative) $$$$ injury. Austin Radiology followed up with me for the CT scan, but Rumi & staff had ordered it for the wrong body part of my arm!!! Called Rumi’s office to have them correct the order, but NEVER got a call back. Having felt like the whole thing with Rumi & Ortho Associates was a sham, I got a referral from my primary care physician to another ortho (Jeffrey Knabe at Seton RR, also in network for my Aetna plan) and WHAT A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE. Went to see him instead and not only was Dr. Knabe WONDERFUL, PATIENT, and KIND, but in the next 48 hours, he and his staff had seen me, done w full examination, thoroughly walked me through my X-Rays, and scheduled surgery (mind you all of this happened before I even would have followed up with Rumi and Ortho Associates). This doctor and clinic is clearly a joke and anyone who’s SERIOUS about their injury should look elsewhere.

This place is 50/50. Dr. Jobe was great with our initial meeting. One of the women at the front desk was helpful and pleasant. Getting a call back from a medical assistant to correct my physical therapy referral has been impossible. The call center pushed me through before I could tell them no one is calling me back. At this point it seems like I'll have to wait five more weeks for my appointment, pay my ridiculously high copay, just to have my referral corrected. Disappointed.

Questions & Answers

Has anyone been able to actually get through to someone to access medial records prior to the merge?
