Donating blood is SO important!! I realized after coming in, people don't donate 2/3s as much since the Covid pandemic in 2020. I didn't know how much platelets and blood donating is needed in hospitals to save lives of people on a daily basis-- and there's not enough!?! Sometimes they have a special promotion too– I got 2 tickets to the Mets after donating. What a deal!! The in-out time took lover 1 hour though, and I don't like needles. And no cranberry juice? One star.

How does a place like the New York City blood center only have one size BP cuff the check blood pressure? I took time out of two days to get down here to donate and both times they only had a small sized BP cuff. Not only is it incredibly unprofessional but they are wasting peoples time that want to donate. Time to reassess the circus that you have going on at 67th street and get your act together

Had 1 hour and 45 min to give double red blood cells. 15 min to use a computer, 30 min wait to see the only nurse, 10 minutes to get a bed, then 10 minutes waiting to be attended to before I got up and said I’m out of time. Got to the one near grand central, they’ll have a needle in your arm in 20 min.

The New York Blood Bank does not pay cash for blood donations, they use a reward and point system to reward donors.
There's also a points system and after gaining enough points, they can be redeemed for almost anything (once you've donated). Platelets can be donated weekly, are always in demand and rapidly increase your redemption points
I'm afraid you need to be more specific. Unless you mean the process, it's quite simple.
I don't think so. Your best bet is to call them directly.I went with a friend who was donating blood.
I had the same thing but I got a letter in the mail saying I didnt have the antibodies. You might want to call them and see if they can assist you. Hope this helps!
Yes they do. You just need to be on the lookout for them. Like them on Facebook, Instagram, or any other media to get the info you need.
In points, yes. Cash, no.
If you mean the Donor Advantage Program, allow me to assist you. First off, to earn the points themselves, you must both pass the iron test and complete the donation you scheduled. After that, you must wait a minimum of 5 days for them to update your account with the points you earned depending on the day of the donation and what type it is. Next, you can go to their store and browse around the various goodies they have to offer. The rest is just entering some basic information like you would any other online store like Amazon and presto, you can enjoy that goodie when it reaches that front door. Hope this helps.
In cash, no. There is the Donor Advantage Program where your donations are converted into points in which you can redeem in their online store.
Im a regular donor of platelets, can do that weekly. Up to 52x in 12months i believe
No, but do receive promotional points that can be redeemed for almost anything
Where in Newyork do you get payed for blood or plasma
To put it quite simply, you do not get paid in cash. Instead, you get paid in points to use in their online Donor Advantage Program. No matter what Blood Center you go to, they all will follow that rule.
