TOO SMALL FOR PRICE OF ADMISSION: A very well curated and displayed collection of memorabilia, staged by the decade, encompassing the history of Route 66. However, at $14 to enter, I expected to see a larger collection, perhaps double in size of what I experienced. The Souvenir shop is well organized, and has reasonable prices. A nice, but very brief excursion for the price. FOUR STARS

We haven't been to every Route 66 museum, but this has got to be one of the best, if not the very best of them all. Unlike some other Route 66 museums, this is not just a collection of objects. The museum tells the story of the history of Route 66 chronologically, with an emphasis on Oklahoma. I'd done a lot of research on Route 66 before we left on our road trip, and we still learned a great deal. If you're going to visit one Route 66 museum, make it this one.

This little museum is cute! It's small but has some pretty neat things. Don't confuse this with the National Route 66 Museum 25 minutes down the road in Elk City... But this is still a cool stop. The cost for adult admission is $7, so it isn't too expensive.

Due to a holiday we could not go inside. There is a police station next door and the cop was waiting for speeders. Very friendly, but we did not speed. 😉 You can get some cool pictures of the signs and advertisements around the building. You also can peak into the old milkshake shake that has a pretty neat old 66 truck parked next to it. Will try to come back again on another trip.

Its a nice museum with a lot of history and information about the historic route 66. One of the best museums on this path.
I went there. A lot of history.....it's small but very nice. Worth the stop.
Don't know the question, however this is the nicest one that I ha've been in
It is up to the visitor. The average visitor spends approximately one hour . Our museum tells the history of Route 66 from Chicago, IL to Santa Monica ,CA.
We are so glad you enjoyed your visit! hope you are able to visit again in the future. We completely updated our exhibits in 2012.
