This is an honest review of mine as a person who brings all 4 of his Boxer dogs an have taken my litter of 9 pup's to Deerwood. Dr. Patel is extremely reasonable. There was once an issue where I called to find out how much the litter of 9 puppies would cost to be seen and fully vaccinated, and I was given one price over the phone, then after they saw him I was quoted a much higher price than initially told. As you can imagine, I was furious! I told the doctor exactly how I felt and demanded that something be done to remedy the situation. It would've been unreasonable for me to expect him to discount the total price to the original price I was quoted when all 9 pups had a thorough examination and received their vaccines. Dr. Patel understood why I was frustrated and gave me a store credit for an amount I will not disclose. I was happy about that because he offered something of a resolution, when at the end of the day I was initially quoted the wrong price and that isn't his fault. Just more recently I was planning on boarding my puppy at a doggy resort while my wife and I went on vacation so when I originally made the appointment I told the office that he needed to be updated on his vaccinations and get a flu shot. However, my wife and I were able to find someone kind enough to watch our pup for us, thus, when I got to the vet's office I informed them that he no longer needed the flu vaccine since he will not be boarding with other dogs. There was a lack of communication between the staff that I mentioned I spoke to and the doctor I assume because the doctor ended up giving the puppy the flu vaccine anyways. I tried to stop him once I saw him reaching for what looked like an extra needle and asked what was he giving him? It was a vaccine... that's when I explained what I told his personnel and that he wasn't supposed to have the flu shot because it's no longer needed. To my surprise, the doctor didn't charge me for the flu shot. He left it off of the bill altogether. This doctor is also the cheapest out of several places I've tried taking them to. In fact, I really do believe that after all of my research, he is the cheapest in my area. You don't always get what you pay for though, because cheaper prices doesn't equal cheaper quality of service. Doctor Patel gives high quality service, offers great prices, takes Care Credit, he's very knowledgeable and never makes me feel rushed. He really is a nice guy and a good veterinarian. You cannot go wrong bringing your animals here. Therefore, I will continue brining my 4 dogs here for years to come. To sum up my review - Pros: * Easy to get to * Clean facility * Caring staff * Knowledgeable doctor * Best prices around Cons: * Communication issues among staff * Parking lot is small and can be difficult to enter/exit * Only allows Care Credit up to a certain amount In conclusion - 5 Stars from me.
