Horrible safety program, because there isnt one. Zero house keeping. Welding/grinding dust ventilation terminates in close proximity to the supply fan for the space being worked in. The yard looks like a dump, there is destroyed equipment strewn about. Weldi g, pumping, and electrical lines are laid on the deck promoting trip hazards.

I was employed there for 25 yrs mostly at the wando yard ,started as as carpenter, rose to quarter man in the blasting and painting shops,we did quality work, and loy Stewart was the best person you could ever want for a boss, and his son loy jr. Fits the same mold.they had some of the best people you could ever hope to work with, and that's probably still true.

Yes hi track Staffing is hiring laborers as file watches as well as workers on the ships
7 days a week
I work out here, and usually the ship is put up in hotels in the area or they stay on board if the work is minor.
Well there is shipping g and receiving but unless I know more specifically I can't say where. There's a lot of different companies and boats things always moving.
Yes good morning Corey how are you my friend yes I see you're interesting driving a forklift on third shift or possibly the weekends, keep in mind that anything dealing with steel or metal in a commercial or Marine industry normally results in a conflict of interest.. meaning that one company makes think you're doing the same job at the other..just keep in mind...
Always, ask for Jack Smith
If you go through detyens directly i don’t think anything pays more than $21/hr. If you go through hitrack you might start at $15/hr and get per diem if you have an out of state ID.

You can go through the temporary agency and possibly become a DSi employee
I would not know. I would suggest inquiring directly. Also, consider cargo crane operations at ports of containerized facilitie$.
Go to the head office I gaurentee they could use the help
Vincent, I cannot really add light to this possibility. I can say that mostly Deytens is an industrial environment, and mot overtly a high tech place to work. Some recent technology is used, but typically, this would relate to shipboard systems, and from my observations, the ship management companies adhere to a request for quote process. Most of this process is within government rules, and vendor bids, and winning the work in a structured way. I can also add that the Washington State Ferries have openings, and it might be a smart move to visit their website...Wash State DOT. GOOD LUCK, as it seems a fortunate timing in the labor market is upon us.
