I contacted them to explore my possible conversion.I have been studying the Torah on line, and following Rabbi Tovia Singer, and 2 others. They NEVER responded to my 4 messages or my 2 emails.. They do not want converts? Or Noahides? I do not understand this..how can you dismiss me with out ever questioning me and my studies and spiritual journey.

Questions & Answers

Does the conservative synagogue have daily minyans? Thank you

Rena Goodman | Jun 24, 2022
Synagogue Emanu-El | Jun 24, 2022

Our minyan schedule changes. We have a Zoom morning minyan daily and afternoon minyan on Tuesday & Wednesday at 5:30. Occasionally, we will have called minyan on Monday, Thursdays, or Fridays at 5:30pm, too - or the afternoon minyan may be held at a shiva house. If visiting, it's always best to contact the office to see what the day's schedule is.

Was there a Rabbi Cardozo in the 1800's

No, not at our synagogue. We were founded in the mid-twentieth century. You might check one of the other synagogues in town.

Is it feasible to take a cab to your Shul from a cruise ship docking on a Shabbat (March 24). We are from NJ and attend our local Shul every week and on this particular day I am celebrating my birthday as well as saying Kadish for my father--thanks

I realize this is past the date of inquiry (I believe we spoke by phone). Hopefully this will help other visitors. Yes! It is possible to take a cab or Uber/Lyft from the cruise terminal to the synagogue. The synagogue is about a 12-15 minute ride away.
