Nice big parking lot. Great place for kayak launch.

This place is so beautiful. A cool crystal clear swimming hole right on the Santa fe. Just up stream from ginnie springs. But unlike ginnie springs a lot more peaceful and family oriented. Rather than Ginnie springs college kids doing what college kids do. There where numerous people fishing the river and a nice little walking trail. Definitely a great way to spend a hot Florida day. Swimming in perfectly clear 72 degree water. Worth the five dollars for sure.

Very intimate and beautiful river but narrow. Good baot ramp, not overly crowed in early am. Stunning!

Anyone know if you can leave a vehicle here for a kayaking trip on the river? I was thinking of dropping in at the Highway 27 boat ramp a few miles up river and then paddling down to here.

Go to a place called rum138. They will shuttle you down the river. I stayed at Ginnie springs campground and they said I could just leave from there campground and give them a call and they shuttled us back to rum island where we had a short break and floated back to Ginnie springs. Didn't drive my car anywhere from campsites. Give them a call they are wonderful flexible helpful .. they have shuttled me twice
