I really enjoy Doodle Trail.. even more than Swamp Rabbit! It's never too crowded. There are some pretty sections. Just a nice flat paved path for a walk/bike ride.

Excellent trail. Much less crowded than the Swamp Rabbit. More up n down elevation provides quite the workout. Nice that there are bathrooms at both ends. If wanting to end with beverages, park downtown Easley near the Silos which will add a couple more miles to your ride.

It's located in a terribly dangerous, busy and confusing automobile intersection.

I use to walk the Doodle Trail towards Pickens, until it opened going in the direction of downtown Easley. It was a little creepy walking in the opposite direction. That area is real woody, the other direction takes you toward Wilbur Street. I’m familiar with that area of the Doodle Trail because I grew up there. Some of my old neighbors still live there and my dad’s house is still there. I like to walk in the morning if I’m not working. There are still some shaded areas, but when it’s to hot or in the 90’s, I walk inside a facility. There’s a play ground, picnic tables, restrooms and water fountains for you and your pet. For a nice place to get your walk on, check out the Doodle Trail.

How long is the Doodle Trail?

From end to end I believe it's about 9 miles. However, at the Simpsonville end parking lot they have mile 1 marked on the trail and at the Easley end they have 8.5 mile marked. I believe the trail extends a bit past the parking lots on both ends.

Two questions: How much are the bike rentals? Are there places to stop to eat & drink or should we bring a picnic with us? Thanks much!

Sweet Tea Cycles is located in doodle Park and rates start at around $11 per hour with options for 4 hour, daily, and weekly rates. Along the trail there isn't really any dining options, however both ends have options if you're willing to ride the rest of the way into the downtown areas.
