We were very impressed with the two gentlemen, Joe and Mo, who refinished an almost 100 year old bathtub in our home. Not only was the work done well, but they were very polite and NEAT! I am pretty sure they left the bathroom cleaner than they found it. Thank you Joy of St Croix! We will definitely be calling you for our other tubs!

I would strongly suggest finding someone else for your repairs. Joy of St. Croix was anything but a joy to work with. The employs they sent out were consistently late and often appeared to be under the influence of drugs. Their work was sub par, especially for the premium they are charging. Extremely disappointed…

We had Joe and Mo do our repair. We had a squishy shower floor and cracking starting to appear. Mo was awesome, he explained everything in great detail. He even gave us tips on how to support our other shower so that it won't fail as well. You can really tell how passionate they are about their art. They were worth every single penny. 100/10

They tiled a shower and waterproofed a stained glass window. Beautiful results that is still lasting many years later !

Since 1980 Joy of St Croix has been repairing bathtubs and has found that most repairs are commonplace and fall into 3 categories on 3 types of construction: surface, shallow, and deep damage on porcelain/steel, gelcoat/fiberglass, or solid surface. If we know how a bathtub is constructed, how it was damaged, and where the damage is on the unit, we can look back on 40 plus years of field repairs to predict how much time and material it will likely take to repair it. Sometimes the damage is more extensive than originally estimated by the customer and a revision may need to be made on the appointment day, but the published prices provide the customer with a firm knowledge of how much the services cost for different sizes, types, and categories of repairs.
Yes, Joy of St Croix does have clawfoot bathtubs in the non-restored state for sale ready for you to custom design. You can have only the interior refinished or include the exterior and the feet. Many options are available from solid colors to patterns, faux finishing, and artwork. Specialty finishes are also available like chrome and copper, glow-in-the-dark, or even mosaic tiles.
In 2021 the price for refinishing a standard built-in residential bathtub by Joy of St Croix is $775. The price includes a new solid brass chrome plated drain basket and overflow cover. The price does not include removal of any existing finish or any repairs.
