As a previous employee I urge you not to use this company. Absolutely astounded to see recent reviews of work despite being laid off 2 years ago because I was told they "went under". ??? They are clueless to this line of work. If it weren't for me informing my manager (Arthur) about how efflorescence works, they would not have gotten the NCC contract. Your employee should not be educating you and selling jobs for you because you're ignorant!!! Please question whatever they tell you, because chances are they're wrong and have no idea what they're talking about. Also, none of the pictures they have listed are of their work. Haha

All contracted work was completed in a timely and professional manner. I understood the cost and process from start to finish with no surprises except that the job came in well under budget! I was initially concerned that we may have had to remove drywall and that costs would soar. Arthur was quick to say that rarely is that needed and to not worry until he had a chance to evaluate. I appreciated that they clearly did not take advantage and do unnecessary work just to line their pockets. I would not hesitate to use this company or recommend them to anyone needing mold removal.

The representatives of Mold Free NC were all polite, professional and responsive. They each made the process of testing and mold removal as painless as possible. Additionally, the service tech that tested and later treating our house made a point of keeping our home clean by wearing foot coverings and not leaving any equipment debris behind. I highly recommend Mold Free NC.

Crawl space dehumidifiers, unlike ordinary dehumidifiers, are built to handle high moisture content and come in a compact design to fit into confined places. Because crawl space dehumidifiers are exposed to tougher circumstances, their durability is also better. Some models have several air filters, allowing them to trap impurities such as mold spores, resulting in air purification.
When it comes to a tiny crawl area, a large room dehumidifier would suffice, but for a larger one, you may need to hire a commercial grade dehumidifier. Set the dehumidifier to a setting between 30 and 45 percent and leave it running for several hours before checking on the room. It could take up to eight to ten hours to completely dry out a flooded crawl area.
In the summer, these vents allow outside air to circulate beneath the floor, preventing moisture buildup that promotes mildew and decay. The vents are closed in the winter, when the air is dryer, to prevent the pipes in the crawl space from freezing.
As a general guideline, you should keep the humidity level in your crawl area below 55%. Depending on where you reside and what season you are in, this intensity may vary slightly. However, it's a good idea to keep track of the humidity level all year.
Use high-volume fans and structural drying dehumidifiers to speed up the drying process. After a flood or leak, these are used to dry out your crawl area. House fans will work, but they will take a long time and may do more harm.
A 6 mil (0.006-inch thick) minimum reinforced poly vapor barrier is frequently specified in residential codes. For crawl space applications, however, Americover recommends 10 mil or greater. This minimal minimum is met by poly sheeting that is 6 mils (0.06 perms) or thicker.
The quick answer to the question is “No” – that is, if you do nothing, the water in your crawl space will not disappear. Moisture in your crawl space might come from leaking pipes, foundation wall fractures, or even the earth itself.
