Great individual therapy.

Today I went out and hit tennis balls for about an hour and a half for the first time since I had to quit due to osteoarthritis. Dr. Jackson Probst at Ascent and the rest of their kind and helpful staff have kept me on the path to recovery over the past six months -- I can't say enough about their ability to identify what I need to do and to motivate my rehabilitation after my total shoulder replacement. Six stars. I have been to several other rehab clinics over the years, for one reason or another, and I think they were all good, and all honestly wanted me to get better, but these guys are the best I have had the pleasure to work with.

A MRI revealed that I had multiple tears of my left rotator cuff. Even the slightest movement was painful. I had serious doubts that I would ever play golf again. After 6 months of PT at Ascent I was able to play 9 holes of golf yesterday with only nominal pain. Dr. Casey Powers has been a miracle worker. His expertise in exercise therapy enabled us to first rebuild flexibility in the shoulder and, once that goal was achieved, we focused on rebuilding strength. His use of “dry needling” has also been very helpful in both processes. I’ve greatly enjoyed the environment at Ascent. They’re like the song from the old TV series “Cheers.” It’s a place where everybody knows your name. Like the TV show, they enjoy joking and sharing stories with their patients and with each other. While I look forward to reaching the level of wellness where I will no longer need to be here, I will miss Dr. Casey Powers and the rest of the staff. Final note, Dr. Robert DaSilva, my orthopedic surgeon, has determined that my progress at Ascent has been so good that he no longer views surgical repair of my rotator cuff as being needed. It can’t get much better than that.

In most cases a physician referral is not required to get started with PT! If you do happen to have a health insurance that requires one, we'll be happy to assist with coordinating with your physician so it's as smooth a process as possible for you to get started!
Our friendly and welcoming office staff will work with you for getting you registered and set up for your first appointment. At that first appointment you'll be seen one on one by a Doctor of Physical Therapy with the sole focus of listening to you and figuring out the root cause of your issue. We'll then partner with you to create a customized treatment plan that addresses your specific treatment needs and ultimate goals for returning to the activities that you love!
