I signed up on 07/01/2019. Coming from Winston Salem I was 10 mins late. It's now 927am on 7/2/2019. No where in there policy does it state that there will be no late entry. So they simply took my money. This review is being made from the parking lot. Iv called both the American heart association and the better business Bureau since my arrival and before beginning this review so how late was I??? Its said that we try to support Black owned businesses yet those businesses seem to hurt us more then others. Guess this is the Christian way huh. To take your money and leave you standing in a parking lot being g only 10mins late. Even doctors give you 15mins late at there offices. I should have simply went with a private individual.

Questions & Answers

How much of my annual donation mailed to Phoenix, AZ gets back to my town in NC?

Hello, and thanks for your inquiry and your donation! Approximately 80% of funds raised nationally by the AHA go back to communities in the form of research grants, education, training, and community services. That's an average of approximately $.80 per dollar, nationally. Here in NC, the AHA currently funds $1.3M to support 4 different research projects at NCA&T, UNCG, and WFU that have and will contribute to important scientific advances that benefit all Americans. WSSU has been awarded a $100k Empowered To Serve Urban Health Accelerator grant to address food insecurity and disparities in chronic disease rates. In the Triad, the Hampton Family Mobile Kitchen has taught healthy cooking skills to more than 10,000 residents in underserved communities, and has been funded for an additional 2 years. In the past year, the AHA has trained over 96,000 people in CPR. These are just some of the ways the AHA has used donor $ in NC. Please feel free to call our office with additional questions.

how do I get a copy of my BLS certification. I tested on November 2, 2018. I need a copy for work before 11/30/2018.

Hello, you will need to contact the training center where you were trained, or the trainer. They are responsible for requesting certificates and should be able to help you. Thank you!
