I ordered an 8 inch cake on Sunday June 19 for my husbands birthday to be picked up on June 23. When I arrived to get the cake which I paid for in advance, it wasn’t ready. I waited for several minutes while the kids who run this place frantically looked for my order. I could see the girl who took my order on the 19th in the back of the kitchen cutting the tips off a lot tube of what appeared to be icing. When. I asked what was going on, one of the children working there stated “the cake decorator has been out sick”. A few minutes later the frantic girl presented me with what appeared to be a cake, with blackish blue icing and what was a horrible attempt at “Happy Birthday” sprawled across the top of the cake in blotchy blue gel. My six year old grand daughter could have done a better job at decorating this cake. When I asked to speak to a manager about the cakes appearance the same teenager who told me the cake decorator was out sick stated “all of our cakes look like this”, as I observed a freezer full of professionally decorated cakes directly behind her. I then asked for a refund. She didn’t even return the full purchase price. She just handed me a wad of cash that was $1.31 short of what I paid. Who runs a business like this? What a joke! Never again. Thanks for ruining my husbands birthday.

It's a classic dairy queen with a very nice view of the river. The layout is the only reason it doesn't receive a 5 star review as its kind of strange other than that a good place to go.

On our nature and exploration trips to the area we always stop here for a quick refreshing treat no matter what season we are in. I don't walk in because of my hip and knee condition anymore and I can say the parking lot is always packed. Theres times you will stand outside of the door to wait to enter the building to place your order. There's seating available outside, cement tables and stools, overlooking the ever-changing waters that flow by. We always have take out and go but it's a lovely open space to sit outside to eat. The deserts are always refreshing and the employees have always been quick and friendly, from the days past I used to be able to walk in.
