I'm a true recycler and was pleased with the fact that the was a bin for household batteries. This last visit they had taken the bin away because they could get no one to pick up used batteries. I was told I would have to throw them in with the trash. Fortunately I have an alternative and can recycle small batteries at work.

Yes you can take mattress here they do accept it but may have to pay few $, l dont think the grab card covers it..
Tryon is garbage and recycle. Webb metals in Dallas is where you recycle metals. Call and they will give you prices.
It is not free. You pay using a garb card which is purchased at the local convenience store for $4.00. That lets you dump so many bags of trash. I believe it is either 8 or 10. No one really ever counts though. If you have recyclables then 2 bags, 2 boxes, 2 containers of any sort will be counted as if you are using 1 garb card. Some items such as TVs they will charge you more. I am not sure of the list of items but I do know TVs are on it. If you have an excessive amount of trash the guys that work there will determine themselves how many garb cards. They will also decide what you cannot get rid of there at all. How exactly they decide I am not sure. I wanted to dispose of 2 plastic pallets. The size of each was 3 foot by 3 foot. Another time I repaired a hole in my wall and had a little scrap sheetrock. It was approximately ‘2x’3. I should have broke it down and put it in a plastic bag so they didn’t see it but at the time I didn’t see why they would not take it.
