I own and operate the Chesnut Cottage Bed and Breakfast on Hampton Street. On this Sunday morning my fire alarm alerted the local firmen with the Columbia Fire Department and they responded in less that 5-8 minutes. Fortunately, this was a false alarm due to a kitchen mishap with the stove. It was a blessing in disquise. The team of firemen observed and evaluated the property with suggestions for safety of the guests whe stay here, and actually were unaware of the kind of property it is, so they are now aware that many people might be here if the building is in trouble. They made suggestions, all which will be followed. I applaud them all for their efficiency. What a nice group of professionals. Thank you for your service and for taking care of us. Mary

I don't if it was this station or not but I had a funny smell in my apartment this morning and automatically I'm thinking it was gas they came out and checked took their time and found out what it was it was my water heater...thank god for them
