I am the travel coordinator at my place of business. My colleagues picked this hotel as one they would like to stay at as there was a conference that they would be attending in Okmulgee. They were treated rudely from the start. The carpet in the room was so dirty and in poor condition that my colleague would not walk around with her shoes off. She then proceeded to sit at the desk in the room and work, but couldn't concentrate for the fact that she was continually being bitten by bugs. Then when she went to check out she found out that they didn't have the correct credit card information for which the room was to be billed. I was informed of this and called and asked if they had received the credit card authorization form that I had sent and she said no. I went to re-fax the information to them and before the fax could be received by the hotel I received an email confirming that they charged my card that I had previously sent to the hotel staff. This was telling me that she lied and that she did have the information. Why not just say that she made a mistake and they had the correct information all along? Oh it gets better........My colleague then proceeded to leave a review and because the front desk lady didn't like it she called me on my work phone number and told me not to have my employees stay at her establishment again. I have been doing my current job for 6 years and I have never dealt with such a rude, obnoxious employee as I did today. I promise you that we will never use your establishment, ever again. If we could give negative stars we would. Have a nice day :)

Stayed here last night! Lacy at the front desk was kind & helpful. Bed comfortable, pillows nice! Room spotless!! Actually the whole hotel was clean! BREAKFAST was basic but included in the price. I believe it was the owner in the kitchen who came out & told us she had scramble eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy in the back. 3 cereal selections. ONCE AGAIN KITCHEN & EATING AREA SPOTLESS!! ON A SIDE NOTE: Went to the Mexican restaurant which was attached to the hotel. Food was excellent, fast, reasonably priced & once again CLEAN!! IF YOU GET THE BIG MARGARITAS 🍹 😋 IT IS DEFINITELY SHAREABLE!! The only thing we were not happy with was the salsa. Tasted more like spaghetti sauce. Needed more Mexican flavoring. I believe the owners were Mexican which they came to our table to see if we were pleased. Unfortunately my husband and I will be traveling from Texas to Iowa frequently in the next year & the BEST WESTERN WILL DEFINITELY BE THE PLACE WE STAY ON THE WAY HOME!! THANK YOU OWNERS OF THE BEST WESTERN FOR GIVING US A NICE HOME FOR THE EVENING ON OUR WAY HOME!

My Credit Card information was stolen by an employee at this hotel and attempted at several locations in Okmulgee and nearby towns. Edited to respond to their comment: the reservation wasn't for me-it was for employees that I book travel for. I had to provide my name and credit card information to your front desk via a credit card authorization form since the company card is in my name and immediately after I sent my form to your location-there were charges all over the town of okmulgee with my card number. Clearly my form with my credit card # and ID were not safely handled and an employee was able to copy my information and use as they please.

Stayed here several nights. Nice room, comfortable bed, and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. Genae couldn’t have been a better desk clerk. She was Extremely polite and accommodating. I Will definitely be back here next time I’m in town.
