Attended a wedding reception here in December. This place is a hidden gem in Northeast Ohio! Classic turn-of-the-century architecture at a time when everything in Cleveland was world-class. The marble throughout the main hall is beautiful and seems to be well-maintained. It’s a little difficult to find and you have to carefully follow signs from Huntington Park garage but it’s worth the effort.

The Cuyahoga Court House at the North end of Ontario is imposing with a small army of statues of the historical figures of the law adorning the structure. On the South facing parapet of the structure are six figures: from left to right (all Brits & all men), Stephen Cardinal Langton (Magna Carta), Simon De Montfort (House of Commons), Edward I (Judicial Reforms), John Hampden (Petition of Rights), John Somers (Declaration of Rights), and Lord Mansfied (Commercial Law). The front entrance is flanked by the seated figures of Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton. Above the engraving on the North entrance "Obedience to Law is Liberty", on the parapet facing Lake Erie are (left to right), Moses (moral law), Byzantine Emperor Justinian (civil law), King Alfred the Great (common law), and Pope Gregory IX (canon law). On either side of the doors are the seated figures of U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Marshall (1755-1835) and Ohio Supreme Court Justice, Rufus P. Ranney. The doors around the building are decorated by an Indian Chief and a buckeye branch.
