I had a few years ago left a very positive review, it was my first time leaving my mom and I really felt this was going to be her place (if time came ) of residence. But I wouldn't put anyone those years of good has turned bad.

Not the worst nursing home, but far from being the best. A nursing home is only as good as the management will enforce competency. I can only comment on the memory support unit… mainly the second shift staff. Total uncaring, and incompetence…especially the STNA Regina and Lejuene! It says a lot about a person when a nursing assistant tells you that they have been in that same position for over 20 years. Rarely does a STNA work in a NH that long, except someone who stays because of laziness and incompetence is tolerated; and not being intelligent enough to work anywhere else. Most STNA eventually advance after a few years of working in a NH. The STNA here don’t know how to take bp readings; they lie about the care that they claimed to have provided; and they make simple-minded, ignorant comments about why a patient who has a mechanical-soft diet can’t have bread, but who can have potato chips! They rarely provide the minimal ADLs to the point where residents skin is dry most of the time, or oral care is rarely provided. If your love one is ever a resident here, please make sure that you monitor regularly!

Visiting hours are 8AM-8PM Sunday-Saturday. Immediate family is not restricted to visitation hours.
The closest public transportation is at Mayfield and Lee roads, which is about 1/4 mile to McGregor.
A variety of circumstances will impact [out of pocket] costs. McGregor is a Medicare/Medicaid community in our long term nursing and rehab areas. Our team works with patients and their families to maximize the use of their benefits, as appropriate. Assisted Living is private pay.
Transportation is provided within a 5 mile radius. With a dialysis center at Stephanie Tubbs-Jones Health Center, the Cleveland Clinic will provide that transportation for patients. They are located within 1 mile of McGregor!
Excellent! Upon admission and an assessment, PT, OT and speech therapy begins immediately--even on weekends!
