I have never sent a meal back in my life, today was the first. I ordered the turkey bacon melt. The sandwich was soggy and had a very odd taste. The 2 teaspoons of baked beans were delicious. But because I ate the 2 teaspoons full, they charged me $3.49. I asked for a dinner salad instead. All the lettuce was the hard white part of iceberg that I throw away. And it was all brown and soggy wet. $4.99 Terrible. First and last time there.

I was looking for an all you can eat fish fry. There are so many places listed online but nothing caught my attention. We decided to check out Hole 'n One in spite of our fear that it would be another sports bar. It didn't look like Much from the outside. To our surprise, it was a quaint, family friendly "diner". There was an advertised fish fry for about $17. We didn't see that on the menu. The prices were comparable to everyone else's. We thought that the fish sandwich would be a safe introduction to the restaurant. The entree was nicely presented. The brioche bun was just the right size with lettuce, tomatoe, and tartar sauce. The fries were just right. None of the extras we requested were present, and unfortunately, the sandwich had two of the fish strips rather than a square fillet. It was also a bit undercooked. My problem with strips is each and every time I bite into a strip sandwich ( fish or chicken) they fall out of the bread. I hate trying to hold it just right so the insides don't drop to the table or my lap. On top of that, our server disappeared and never brought the missing items or a drink refill. Even when we decided we would leave, it took over half an hour to even get a box and to give her our payment. It wasn't because the place was busy or understaffed. We could see her talking to the other servers in the back. A couple patrons helped themselves to drinks. They were pprobably regulars. I felt comfortable there and it was a relaxing atmosphere for a Friday evening. So I'd probably return sometime.

It was absolutely terrible. The coleslaw was like soup. The string beans or old. The cod plate that I ordered was terrible. I was deep-fried full of oil and taste it old. I've been here many times over the last 10 years. But that meal was enough to make me never want to go back again. As for the service, it was fair but nothing to brag about. When I told the cashier how disappointed I was, she did nothing to reduce the bill or anything else. They used to have very very good help there and the help that was there today was not very efficient. Frankly, I was disgusted. The table wasn't clean. There was food inside the creamer dish. It was really lacking all the way around.

While looking online for a casual place for lunch, spotted Hole-in-One and saw their widely varied menu. Apparently all their Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner items are served ALL DAY. In our party of three, we all were satisfied with the quality & quantity of our choices. Food was served promptly, beverages kept filled, waitstaff attentive. Prices averaged $10 - $12 plus beverage apiece for lunch type items. I ordered a turkey/bacon melt and it was delicious, made with a good quality turkey, not "lunchmeat". My companions both ordered breakfast and it was a plateful! Generous servings of hash & bacon, the eggs were all done to perfection. Waffle nice & crispy, etc. Most selections (except breakfast) included choice of one or two sides which ranged from potato salad to peaches or applesauce to cottage cheese to ranch beans. Everything was good! Just a note: the dining room itself is quite spacious but rather drab due to being located in a strip mall so only one row of windows. But highly recommended if you are looking for a place to relax with friends or family, chat a little, and have a great meal!
