This course has gone downhill since I played here five years ago. The range balls were terrible - most of them dead, dirty or really scuffed up. The carts are super old gas carts that barely get up the hills and have no GPS like most nice courses. The sand traps are in poor shape - most filled with more gravel vs sand. The views are still gorgeous and the staff is nice. Didn't see a bev cart during the entire round. For the supposed best course in NJ and dropping $146 for a late afternoon round - this course isn't worth the $ or title as best public NJ course.

Go play golf here. You won’t regret it, it’s a must play if you’re within a driving distance at all, even if it’s around $200. Just make sure you bring your rangefinder and 3-4 clubs with you on 18 since it’s cart path only, that was the only bummer.

The septic tank makes the outside by buildings smell awful even on a cold day. The staff is nice and its an upscale place

Most overpriced golf course I ever played at. Wasn’t told at booking that they aerated the greens & the fairways of the course. The price was not reflective of the quality of the course. The bunkers have rocks in them or unplayable. They were having their maintenance men aerate the fair way, as we were playing on two different holes. The workers were driving their trucks all over the fairway, as you were teeing off. Didn’t stop didn’t move. They were blowing dust and dirt all over the place. The conditions of the course are no where near the amount of money you pay. $14 for a hot dog that comes on stale bread. Only time saw the cart girl was on the 10th hole tee box after just going into the bar. In an over 4.5 hour round? The carts are the lowest quality of carts I ever been in and could barely make it up the hills. Place is a rip off and not worth it. If I was aware that aerated fairways were going to be taking place during my round or that the greens were aerated and basically a beach, I would not have wasted my money.
