I first heard about empire through my own research and quickly reached out to them because I was interested in building my career. I met with Mr. Murphy, and he was delightful. My family and I toured the facility with them and he quickly persuaded us with his incredible personality. We continued with application and registration. During orientation, I was very excited and was looking forward to building my career and new journey. While at orientation, my excitement quickly died after meeting with the Director, Ms.Boeman, as I felt that she completely discriminated toward me. She did not greet me when I greeted her but made eye contact with me. She passed out orientation folders to everyone but me, even to a parent that was there with her child. When it came to introductions, she went around the room and called on everyone but me, even the parents received an introduction so she couldn’t have thought that I was a parent and ignored me. During introductions, she passed out name cards with our student ID, and passed me mine, therefore she knew who I was and that i was a student. When it was time to go through the orientation book, I raised my hand to let her know I have not receive one and she rolled her eyes and dropped the folder onto my desk. I felt very disrespected and unaccepted. Before the orientation, I was excited to attended but quickly after orientation I never wanted to leave a facility so bad. I informed Mr. Murphy and he was very sympathetic towards the situation and let me know that he will talk to the director. I am very disappointed as someone that is the director, would do something as horrible as this. I have not returned since, and have found a different school where I am able to feel accepted and respected.

I went to the school Friday September 9 around the 1 o'clock hour. I was initially asked if I had mad an appointment, but precious visits I was told from the front desk that appointments can't be made just walk ins. Happily I was serviced with a wash conditioner and a ponytail. It was a task for the initial student to do a sleek ponytail so another student came over to assist. I didn't mind that, after all it is a school. The supplies that was needed HAIR GLUE was difficult to be found and when it was found the nozzle didn't work or it wasn't enough glue in the bottle to do the ponytail CORRECTLY. Some way I did have a ponytail and what I THOUGHT was a good job WASN'T! Later that night a few hours after getting home THE PONYTAIL CAME OFF. I MEAN SLID COMPLETELY OFF MY HAIR!! My receipt is attached Itemized service are as follows: shampoo simple blow dry $10.00 Special occasion updo $20.00 I WOULD LIKE A REFUND FOR THIS SERVICE CHANGE. ADDITIONAL PRODUCT SERVICE $15.00 The charge was $45.00 and I came back and TIPPED the 2 students ( not naming any names) $10.00 each. I DO NOT RECOMMENDED THIS LOCATION FOR A SERVICE.
