I've called multiple times trying to get my results and all I ever get told is somebody will call me. 3 weeks later still nothing. Getting somebody in the office to answer the phone is pulling teeth. They have people working from home sending messages and nothing ever gets done. Trying to get a referral? Don't they wait months MONTHS to even send it to the right place. But you can never get a hold of them soooo it never works out the first 20 times. They always have the excuse the phones are out to not call people back.

If you are reading these reviews and looking for a new Primary Care Physician, please don't do like I did and ignore the red flags. Dr Banks has good reviews through other patient sites so I thought perhaps the bad reviews were isolated incidents. I was wrong. After 10 months under Dr Banks' care, I can tell you none of these reviews are exaggerations as I've experienced the same. I've been promised countless nurse and office manager callbacks for multiple issues which never happen. Tennova Family Medicine is 100% pay to play. Need a refill- schedule a $300 appt. Need FMLA paperwork filled out- schedule a $300 appt. Need a referral- same answer. At each appointment, it is a struggle to keep Dr. Banks in the room for more than 5 minutes. He makes zero effort to inform himself on the results of referrals he makes to other doctors. On my last visit, he tried to prescribe me the only antibiotic I'm allergic to which could have killed me. I found out later I've also been prescribed medicines which have known interactions. I no longer feel safe under his care.

I was very impressed with this location and PCP.. At first. Communication seemed to be a huge issue. I waited FOUR weeks for a reply. No call back. No reply to messages. Nothing. I was told one thing during my visit, and the PCP notes wanted me to do something else. Very disappointed. Spent a lot of unnecessary money in copayments. Recommend you finding an office that can communicate effectively.

Update: The next day after I posted my review, I received calls from the clinic manager and Dr. Banks. He left a message and told me to stop taking a higher amount of meds than prescribed, which I did not. He did not ask what I am actually doing, he didn't talk to me at all, he just simply left a message assuming things that were simply not true. He didn't even ask me to give him a call back. In a previous visit, he told me to "stop leading the conversation", when I asked a question to clarify something while he was talking to me. Also, I had back pain for a very long time and explained to him what the problem is and how/when it hurts, he pushed on the area with 2 fingers and told me there's nothing wrong with my spine/hip bones, but that I need to take certain pain meds for inflamed muscles. Mind you his "exam" took less than a minute for his diagnose. He likes to assume things and not investigate. I was later diagnosed with arthritis and needed a completely different treatment plan. I never felt like he was really listening nor interested. He's not a good doctor and I absolutely cannot recommend him! The clinic manager was very friendly and really concerned about the doctor not reaching out to me. I definitely appreciate her! She stated that the system sent my messages and the ones forwarded from the nurse to the clinic in Dover. After I told her about the issues with Dr. Banks, she switched me over to Dr. Ebrhim, who is by far a better doctor! He actually takes his time to do a thorough exam. He was also the one to send me to the right places regarding my back pain. But then I was let down again, when I had blood work done. The results were posted to the portal and I was asked to make an appointment for discussion. The first appointment would have been mid-August, test results were posted end of June. So yea, way to leave a patient hanging and guessing. Even though I felt better in Dr. Ebrhim's hands, I decided to switch to a different clinic. The whole experience with Dr. Banks is stuck with me and I didn't feel 100% comfortable there, whenever I went. Original Post: I've been trying to get a call back from Dr. Banks for over a week now. The nurse told me twice he'd call back and I also wrote a message through the portal, but nothing. She stated she made my request urgent. Not urgent enough for the doctor apparently. My health concern is not being addressed at all. Very disappointing and dissatisfying service! In October and December, I tried to get appointments and they're always booked out for 2-3 weeks, even if you need to be seen same day. I give 2 stars only because the front desk and assistant staff is always nice.

If you need something for anxiety, you should ask for a referral to psychologist. They may prescribed something but it may or may not help.
Definitely, Yes
They may accept tricare, they accept tenncare, and medicare.
Seems like they are!
There are other urgent care places that are open today. Most open around 9:00
