Awesome! Wonderful experience. The gentlemen gave a great account of old Florida cowboys and you received an education on how life was back in the 1800's for these guys. You will learn some great info if your into the outside and learning some old Florida history.

Very interesting bit of history. The "Florida Cracker was hilarious". Expected a bit more, but still worth a visit.

Cow Camp was closed when we visited January 10, 2019. The rest of the park was great!! Beautiful scenery and very quiet and relaxing.

A friend who is least likely to say anything good about "the pioneer experience," enjoyed Cow Camp enough to strongly recommend it to me. Downshift and you'll love it. We did. Even our adolescent son enjoyed it. Essentially, we walked down a road cut through pine forest, to a campsite replica of an early 19th Century cow camp in which men lived while hearding and driving the cattle brought here by the Spanish during the Spanish American War. In the camp is an historian, dressed the part, who'll tell about the life those men led, in any detail you desire. So bring a long list of everything you ever wanted to know about cattle drives in 19th Century Florida, but were afraid to ask, and have them answered. I promise you'll learn fascinating facts you'll quote for years to come. Who knew a visit to Cow Camp could be so entertaining!
