I stopped by the animal shelter to drop off a little dog that I found on Riley Creek Rd dragging a chain. They told me that they had no room. I knew that someone would be looking for him & I live in Kentucky (4 1/2 hrs away). They still refused to help. I found the owner on Facebook after arriving home in Kentucky. They had gone to the shelter right after I left & was told that I was taking it to another state. I had to drive 8hrs round trip to return the dog to its owner the next day. I would make a suggestion to the shelter to keep a portable kennel in the office for such situations. I also checked with a couple of vet offices in Tullahoma & they refused to hold the dog. SMH!

These folks are top-notch professionals! They have a very hard and heartfelt job and still maintain kindness and compassion. They're being inundated by people dumping their pets out to fend for their self. My heart goes out to them
