Long, long waits (like any DMV). Bring a friend or something to keep you occupied. Our wait was 65 minutes. When you finally get to a desk, staff are courteous - understandingly not so friendly after a long day of seeing customer after customer.
Just Peachy
Completey ridiculous this place is closed Fridays. Having trouble renewing my tags online so I thought I'd call and ask for assistance. Nevermind because they're only open 4 days a week. Chalk it up to pure laziness.
White-Winged Dove
Had an older vehicle that just misses the cut off date to even need emission test. They ran the heck out of it and then it didn’t pass, so I don’t know. It’s passed all over Co except here? Wasn’t happy about how they reved engine etc,, it is a camper vehicle, so beware mercy said he couldn’t understand why it didn’t pass, when I took it in for tune up.

Yes, but it typically ends about 30 mins before the end of the day. We are closed on Fridays. M-Thur hours: 7:30-5.
Registration and money
Hi Mike - Thanks for your question. The manufacturer should supply a certificate of origin or manufacturer statement of origin that looks like a title. Generally, the manufacturer signs this document over to you on the back. Bring the title document, the invoice, and your driver’s license to our motor vehicle office in Longmont. These items will need to be evaluated to determine if anything else will be required.
Here is a link to schedule appointments. https://www.bouldercounty.org/records/motor-vehicle/appointment/
I'm not sure sorry
You can call them and they can tell you over phone if received. Make sure and have vin # of car
They handle registration and title work here. Driver's license (ID) is done at the DMV on South Main
If you are talking about anything license plate related, then yes.
Yes. It is all online. Here is the info: https://www.bouldercounty.org/records/licenses/marriages-and-civil-unions/apply-for-marriage-license/
To answer this question likely requires more context. Please submit your question directly to MV staff through our contact us form here: https://www.bouldercounty.org/records/motor-vehicle/online-contact-form/
Not really clear what you mean, but our phone lines are staffed the same hours we are open. We also have an online contact us form: https://www.bouldercounty.org/records/motor-vehicle/contact-information/

I had to do this yesterday. It has to be done in person. Just take your title with you to the DMV office on Coffman. They'll need your ID to verify it's you, and they'll have you sign some form, and they'll issue you a new title that has just you on there as owner. They charged $7. Easy and fast.
Yes. You can also get them done while you are getting emissions, if that is required. Here is more info: https://www.bouldercounty.org/records/motor-vehicle/additional-motor-vehicle-resources/vin-inspections/
You should be able to get that done at any of our 3 offices. However, you may want to call first to go through what paperwork you need to bring in order to avoid a repeat visit since salvage titles are more detailed than normal.
Yes. Anyone with a valid identification can register a vehicle: may include driver’s license, ID Card or US passport. We can also register vehicles with out-of-state identification.

Boulder County does not issue licenses, only vehicle registration. That said, the state offices which issue licenses are allowing online renewals I believe. Here is the website: https://mydmv.colorado.gov/
The temporary registrations have no grace period.
Hi Ellis - No, our office will be closed along with all the other administrative county services. Depending on the service you seek, you may be able to complete it online.
Need a note from your doctor to confirm the need and assure renewal
In person, with a valid ID, license plate number and $4.00. Or, request a Duplicate Registration online at https://mydmv.colorado.gov and it will be mailed to you.
8am
You must bring the owner's signed title and proof of insurance
Almost 10 to 20 spam calls a day. That's why everything not identified goes to voicemail.
You'll need a VIN Verification. You can get it at the same place that does the emissions testing. Emissions certificate if required for the county you live in. Proof of insurance. And title or current out of state registration.
In
No have to go to your county
You just go to license and let them know you just want a state id
I think it's only possible if their name is also on the car title.
Last time I needed new plates was about five years ago and in Weld County, but I brought in my title (if the vehicle is financed, contact your lender and instruct them to mail the title to your new DMV first; if the car is brand new, the dealership usually does this for you), ID, proof of insurance, a passed emissions test (no more than 2 years old), and most importantly, a VIN verification (from either the Sheriff's Office or the emissions testing station). You might also want to bring in your old registration paperwork and proof of residency (a recent utility bill), as well as a checkbook.
I also want to know if the address is Longmont does new registration have to be done at Longmont DMV or can I go to Loveland or Boulder dmv?
