First time here with family. We sat outside, was really nice. Waiter was super sweet and attentive. I got the Gatsby, was delicious. Wish there were more masala seasoning but other wise delicious. I got the mango cocktail which was also delicious. I usually don’t like mezcal but I enjoyed it!

Service is immaculate. Ppl are friendly and the atmosphere is so homey. Flavors were amazing. Love the free warm bread w dip omg so good. Corn! wow, its the best hahahah. The red powder on top just made it more amazing. Duck wing was nicely flavored too my friend loved it, she like duck. Shrimp flavor were almost like seafood boil/cajun, i was a big fan. Lamb burger had too much on it(cherries? And the cheese too much), but my friend enjoyed it but wish it could’ve been slightly adjusted. Dessert (sticky cake) was awesome. Love the custard and the warmth of it. Interesting bathroom but very cute and cozy.

Over priced crowded and NOT black owned. Only time it would be worth it is for happy hour and an appetizer

It’s ok. Service is friendly but extremely spotty, aloof. Food sounded great, but was cold and not as nuanced as we expected, pretty average. Wanted to love it, left feeling underwhelmed. If we lived in the area might try it once more to see if was an off night, too many good restaurants in Brooklyn to make the trip again!

Questions & Answers

Does this bar serve any South African beers like Castle Lite, Windhoek ar Black Label

Karan Patel | Jan 24, 2022
Kaia Wine Bar | Jan 24, 2022

Karan. It is not legal to sell these beers, except Windhoek Lager which is Namibian on occasion. There are non compete clauses between our two countries. I give my wine importers money sometimes to bring South African Craft beer in for me.. but only if they have container space and IF their licensing allows them to warehouse on the East Coast.

Do they take reservations?
