Beautiful campground. Clean restrooms/showers. The children (and the adults) enjoyed floating down and playing in the river. Horse back riding was an unforgettable experience. Fishing was a fun activity. The staff was kind and welcoming. You cannot beat the price. We all cannot wait to go back! Thank you Springmaid Mountain.

I’d like to say that I enjoyed my camping experience here. But I can’t say that I did. The people there were really nice and the grounds were pretty. I really did enjoy my horseback riding. But it wasn’t a peaceful or quite place to stay. There was a large group of people there camping. I think maybe for a wedding. They partied and was really loud both Friday and Saturday night, past 12 and 1 am. I called the office Saturday night and left a message about it. Nothing, didn’t even get an apology. I left Sunday evening instead of staying because I was worried I wouldn’t be able to sleep again. So lost a nights pay. The bathhouse was cute but could use a little cleaning everyday.

Stayed at Springmaid Mountain in February. Very reasonable rates for a two bedroom. We also had two baths (just one shower). Very clean and spacious. Fully equipped kitchen. Small charcoal grill outside which was good because we ended up cooking all of our meals there because the choice of places to eat in town were very limited. We brought wood to make a fire but the fire pit was was a ways from our cabin so we really didn't get to enjoy it for the amount of time that we spent making the fire in the first place. We loved the horse stables on the property. We had no problem booking a trail ride. The guide was great and the horses were very well behaved! The location is very convenient to many trails. We chose Linville Falls which was about a 30 minute drive. Beware of going in February as many places are closed for the winter like Little Switzerland and all of the gem mining places and welcome stations. Only gave it 4 stars because, through no fault of the resort, there really is no mountain view or vista and not very many resort type amenities. But its a lovely, clean and quiet place that is super budget and dog friendly.

No
I know they wouldn't lease out their horses for an overnight....they only offer guided trail rides....might be different if you have your own horses
We stay in the screened shelters which are right there at the tent sites. We love it!
It was exactly what i expected. And if you have allergies and out side of course your going to have allergy attacks. My family had a blast there
