Unit was clean but missing curtains for privacy. Big problem is that I stopped at Uhaul 2 miles from the store and they filled the propane to capacity. Turned it in and no one said a word, they emailed the invoice and I see they took $75.00 out of my deposit for propane fill. Thats impossible as UHaul filled it 2 minutes before I dropped it off. Now I'm going in circles and am getting the run around to try to get my money back. Wont use again or recommend as I originally thought it was a good deal until they find ways to wrongfully charge you.

I was informed 4 hours before pickup that they did not have a 25-26ft standard RV to rent us (made reservation in June, it's October). Though they offered to give us a 30ft RV that we could pickup and drop-off over an hour out of our way (we would have to drive North, vacation was South), we had rented a 26ft campsite spot so the 30 ft. RV would not work. So sadly, after getting packed and ready we had to completely cancel our vacation for this weekend altogether. The new RV rental location said "this happens all the time with this location" so not sure I will be renting from them again.

This place is horrible. We rented an RV for a family trip to South Carolina. It is 30 degrees in South Carolina. The location where we picked up the RV did not give us a walkthrough. They just handed us the keys. They said they do not know anything about the RV. They are just the pick up and drop off location. They said if there are any issues that we need to call the 24 hours number. By the time we reached South Carolina the heater did not work. It was 30 degrees so we had to check into a cottage. Cruise America told us to take the vehicle to a repair shop the next day, which took time away from our family trip. It took three hours to so called fix the heater. It was about an hour drive to the repair shop. Then the heater worked for about a few hours and it stopped working completely. Next they told us to drive the RV 70 miles north of our location, to pick up an exchange. They refused to let us cancel the contract, reimburse our costs for staying in the cottage, tow the RV, or deliver the so called exchange RV to us. They even threatened to charge us if we left the RV at the resort due to the situation. To top it off the so called supervisor suggested that we buy a space heater which is dangerous and completely ridiculous. I forgot to mention the roaches. We will never rent an RV from Cruise America and do not recommend anyone else does either. We suspect other people have had nightmare situations too.
