I moved into my David Weekly Home in June of 2006 and I'm still loving it. A couple of small items had to be taken care of, but overall very happy with my home and the David Weekly employees who worked with me. From the sales staff, who went out of their way to welcome us, the gentleman in charge of building my home, to the one who was available after we moved in. I highly recommend David Weekly Homes to any new or previous homeowner looking for a house to call home.

I've reached out for MANY MONTHS and numerous times to have someone in charge of the Kinder Ranch Community but have yet to hear back from anyone. I guess I should have known that no one really cares about the lack of quality they put into their newly built houses when I was the one (with only basic knowledge I learned when I was a teenager) that had to point out the most of the issues. Many of these items were identified PRIOR to closing and I was either told they were already fixed or would be...well after 1 year many are still present: 2. I told them about some raccoon feces and urine I found in the attic, David Weekly decided to NOT clean it and attempted to cover it with insulation. I found this out later, AFTER closing, because I smelt it and moved the insulation off of what they covered up. 3. Unfortunately I guess these contractors don't understand how paint works. Since texture/paint needs something porous/rough to adhere to strongly, EVERY corner in the house flakes off paint when someone simply bumps against them with their arm. 4. This company also decides to put plastic flaps on the exhausts exiting the house, theybwill either blow off or the paint flakes off from the wind simply blowing. Well I now have a huge hole in my ceiling, for the past week, because the last time they "fixed" the missing pieces they decided to paint them shut. Well this caused 6 months of lint to build up from my dryer not being able to blow it outside, and caused condensation to build up and mold on my ceiling. I also had to tell them several times to cut out ALL of the moldy/damaged area BEFORE trying to patch it up. 5. The door to my garage doesn't even touch the slab, and the "fix" was to shove a bunch of stuff under it with liquid nails so that it stops flexing when you walk on it. Then, putting some mismatched cement over the repairs so that it permanently looks like a grease spot in my garage. 6. I have walls that are VISIBLY uneven. 7. I have a gap in my attic where 2 pitches of the roof meet, that let in all kinds of insects and water when it rains hard enough. I have explained to them that there is another house with the same floorplan that was built correctly WITHOUT this gap, AND built by them. But they insist on telling me from the very beginning that "this is how it's supposed to be" (a very annoying, incorrect, and common response). 8. When they laid my irrigation system I had to tell them to move the pipe OFF the tip of a sharp rock. I'm not sure if this was done because the sod was put down before I could verify this...but I doubt it. Not to mention, all of my sprinkler heads are sinking into the ground because they decided to only put stuff on TOP of them and leave just rocks under them, so my flower beds and yard are eroding away. 9. All 3 of the toilets in my house constantly backup whenever they are used, but apparently "these are the same toilets used in other houses, just hold down the lever longer" 11. Most of my fence posts and deck posts are already starting to split. 12. There are gaps in the mortar of my bricks (not the weep holes) identified Dec 19, 2018 and STILL not fixed correctly! 15. They installed a power box NOT rated for the outside that has HOLES in it for the AC, exposing the wires to the weather). 16. They left areas of the stucco unfinished, under the main power box had a missing section, completely exposing the wires. 17. My "new" granite countertop has a spot that was clearly damaged and repaired, but "that's perfectly normal and acceptable by DWH standards". I'm really tired of multiple visits by different people trying to repair the same thing, and it still doesn't get done. I'm also tired of the "that's how it should be" answer. The EXPERTS should be addressing and finding these problems NOT trying to hide them or having the buyers find THEIR problems. I would love it if someone that can resolve these issues would contact me.
