I was a guarantor for one of my close friends and his family. I have a great rental history, around 800 credit score, and an income of 89400 a year. They denied the application and denied a refund of application fee of around $300 to a working family. They ignored the fact that I was a capable guarantor signing a legally binding document saying I will take responsibility in case they can't pay. This leads to the worst experience I have ever had in a rental application. I feel like my friend became the victim of discrimination based on nationality. This is pathetic. Based on such experience, I am sure the good reviews they have are bought ones.

This place will steal your money! The entire system is designed for them to collect your application fees without any accountability mechanisms in place. We paid 260 dollars application fee in good faith but our application was denied without any due process or cause. Kenneth was polite to us until we paid the application fee. It took them 2 weeks to review the application and when I called and pressed them to review it, we received rude replies from Kenneth. Kenneth made comments such as "you don't speak english or what?" and yelled at some point expressly threatening, without justification, that he was going to deny the application because it was his purview to review the application at his own time. After paying 260 dollars just for the application to be reviewed, they expect you to just swallow their incompetence in promptly processing paperwork. We have never dealt with such level of rude behavior. When they called to let us know that they denied the application, they mentioned that they cannot cite the reason and would instead send us a letter. They did not send us an email either. They refused to cite a courtesy explanation because they had no reasonable cause. The pettiness of human beings never ceases to amaze me.
