Went to canonsburg store tonight. The girl running the show was amazing! She took our order, made it herself and it was on time and delicious! It was even more amazing that she was the only one working. She is an outstanding employee...give that girl a raise!

I got their sausage burger, and recommend it. It was fantastic. Frys are phenomenal, other sides were blah. I didn't care for their BBQ sauce tho my spouse liked it. This is our new after show place to eat. Plan on trying everything.

Honestly I grew up in Memphis so my taste in bbq may be different. I have had bbq in TN, NC, SC, GA, AL, MS, and this just made me sad. The taste of the jalapenos overpowered the sandwich spectacularly, which isn't anything against jalapenos, its just that everything else was so bland. The staff was wonderful, and the dining area was very nice.

Hog Fathers in Canonsburg is good but not quite great; if you are looking for a decent place to grab some barbecue in the local area though, it will definitely satisfy. Their brisket is sliced very thinly, but it has a nice fat content and succulence (albeit being just a bit tough). Both their sausage and ribs are quite good, and the smoky sauce compliments their heavy char well (though be warned, if you don't like a lot of char on your barbecue then you should probably avoid them both; I loved them specifically for this). The fried chicken, on the other hand, was not bad but there was nothing to write home about, lacking in both seasoning and moisture, so I would stick to the actual barbecue here instead. As for sides, all of the available breads (both normal and corn) are soft and flavorful, and their baked beans are particularly scrumptious with bits of pork mixed in throughout. It's just a shame that the size of their sides leaves a lot to be desired, as calling the amounts provided in to-go containers tiny is generous at best. A few tips if you are going to eat here: I have only gotten to-go orders, so your dine-in experience may differ, but call ahead of time to order since the wait times can get pretty high during meal hours. Also, do NOT set your bag on your car seat; each time I have gotten food here, barbecue sauce has been slathered all over the outside of the bag, and you will be scrubbing it off of your seat for days. Whoever is handling these bags in the kitchen really needs to think before grabbing them with their sauced kitchen gloves and smearing it all over the bags and containers (I have actively watched this happen).
