Christmas mass, 12:00 PM, 2016. For the record, I'm not a Catholic anymore. And I was distracted, monitoring my disabled father out of the corner of my eye. So I wasn't paying much attention to the sermon: It involved something about beating swords into plowshares and plowshares into swords. Then the line, "... and every day, abortionists are killing a supply of thousands of babies, keeping them from this world ..." slammed into me. Um ... excuse me?! This is your Christmas sermon? So I started paying semi-attention. Never heard Christ's birth mentioned once. But I did discern, by the end of the sermon, that it was supposedly all about peace. Good to know.

Father Moerman is a wonderful priest and keeps the church in good shape. Love the 1205pm daily mass and holy days and the 5p on Saturday afternoon. Easter celebration was always top-notch. I really like that it is carpeted, unlike the majority of churches. Gives it a cozier feel. Fr. Moerman's homilies have kept me coming here over the last few years, although my parish is officially elsewhere. I can really connect with his words. Especially when he talks about the Blessed Mother on a Feast Day, I always leave there learning something I didn't know before. Thanks Fr. Moerman.
