Sensei Roosevelt is an amazing teacher - patient, knowledgeable, and the perfect balance of discipline and fun. He and the rest of the instructors always go above and beyond. We have seen a lot of growth in our daughter in the year she’s been here, and we look forward to coming to classes throughout the week. The school has a flexible schedule to accommodate everyone, and we would recommend it to all.

This place is AMAZING! My son has only been taking for about a month and I can already see such a difference in his endurance, focus, and most importantly, his confidence. I cannot say enough great things about Instructor Roosevelt & his staff. They are patient, kind, and encouraging. So thankful that we found this place!

Our teenagers wanted to learn self defense. RKA was recommended to us by a current member. We visited a few potential martial arts schools. What a difference! Some places run a martial arts center as a play ground, a daycare center or a meditation center. RKA puts the interest of students first: including a sense of safety during the pandemic and a sense of achievement. They really mean business: each move is carefully taught and corrected and students came home with uniforms soaked through with sweat! On top of martial arts, RKA emphasizes an all around development of students, e.g. discipline, cardio, strength & conditioning, etc. We are very happy with our experience at RKA and recommend it to anyone who wants to really learn martial arts.

There is no experience necessary for the Spring Break Karate Camp. We welcome kids 4-12 who want to come down and have some fun in a safe environment.

Is there a program for 3-4 year old children?

Yes, we find there are some kids who not quite ready for a formal martial arts program. We have developed a program to provide an encouraging environment to develop key skills and confidence to support future entry into the martial arts program.
