We went to the Blueberry/Bluegrass Festival. First time being at the park - right on the lake with a nice breeze, play ground area for the kids, nice concrete paths, picnic tables to sit at while listening to the music, etc. Plenty of parking and look forward to other events there!!

I like that there are swings, slides, monkey bars. Plenty of shaded area with benches and picnic tables. Also a small little beach area. This park has the cleanest public park bathrooms I have seen.

Nice little park with great restroom facilities. Osprey best nearby to watch them hunt over the orange groves. Deep boat launch and nice dock.

Donaldson Park sits on the perfectly round, Lake Verona! This park is maintained very well. Nice beach, playground equipment, basketball court, picnic areas, boat launch ( In my opinion, the launch is more for canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, and other small craft style boats. It is PET FRIENDLY as long as they are leashed, and NOT ALLOWED to "run free"even when swimming. ***IF YOUR DOG, DOES HIS/HER BUSINESS YOU HAVE TO PICK IT UP IN A BAG & THROW IT AWAY!!!***

I haven't seen any yet. I've been here since last June. I go to Donaldson Park a lot.
When googled pet friendly says yes it is but it is not . Needs to be corrected on web site is all im saying .
No, you don't have to rent the tables. We had never been there before, and went out for a picnic.
I agree with the first answer. To verify contact the City of Avon Park Parks and Recreation Dept. (863)452-4414.
Yes
Not sure on this question, you need to call the city to make sure if you need a permit. If for the public, would almost be certain you would need one. Hope that helps...
