The kids trail is nice for little ones there is a rope swing that is very sturdy it held me and I weigh 200 pounds lol there is also a teeter totter that was hand carved out of a tree trunk which can hold 2 people on each side.

The Arch of Appalachia is some of the prettiest area in the state. This park is no exception. Two, two mile loops, both very pretty and very different. Trails are well maintained and not crowded.

Buzzards Roost Nature Preserve has well maintained and marked trails. I found it easy to follow except the leaves made seeing the trail a challenge at times. The scenery and views were great. I'm glad that I had a few hours and finally got a chance to hike these trails.

Great place for a hike. Amazing views and well maintained trail. The trail is marked but not as well as I would like

Questions & Answers

My mom grew up here before it was known like it is now. I plan to visit soon but sadly without her. I'm curious if what was left of her home still there?

I'm definitely still going to go. Its mom's wishes before she passed. I loved when she took me as a kid and all the stories she had about the place. Looking forward to walking around and remembering the stories she told me. Great way for me when missing my mom. Sad the tore the old homes down.
