Stopped in to what I thought was a meeting. I was on time and I was expecting to hear experience strength and hope. Instead I observed approximately 15 people interact much like that of the day room of a me talk word. Not one word was spoken about alcohol and recovery. At the end of the meeting I was handed a coin that. (Read rule 62 dont take your self to serious). My thoughts were maybe all these "Old Timers" might want to concider that meeting are not for them! They are for the new comer! That the meeting platform needs to be geared to helping the new man, and not for people with 25 plus years of sobriety to create an atmosphere geared to what makes them comfortable. I truly believe the existence of places like this is the reason aa's success rate is so low! Dont waisted your time and money, unless your looking to hang out with the unbathed and mentally deficient.
