Dropped a gun off to get a new scope mounted, picked it up and cost $103. I guess it needed a different mount and rings but they never called to ask me. Plus when you walk in the guy is extremely rude. Find a different place to bring your guns to.

Thos was my first time going to VT. Went to the store to get help ordering a rifle and recived no help. INSTEAD OF getting help the shop cashier tried to sell me a product I did not want for more money. Good luck getting help in the north country from a local gun shop. Will never return to this store again. I will take my business elsewhere with helpful friendly staff. I was about to spend a good amount of money and make it my new place to goto.

This is a nice, small town, type of gun shop. Dennis Van Tassel is a very experienced gunsmith, who is much in demand. His wife, Mary, is a friendly Irish lass who is very knowledgeable and ready to answer any and all questions. They have a nice selection of new and used firearms. If you want something they don't have they can order it and if you want a firearm transferred from another dealer in a different state they can facilitate the transfer for a very reasonable $30 fee.
