I visited the Brunswick location on October 5th at 6:24 p.m.. I had a very simple order which was two orders of the chocolate cake that comes with ice cream as indicated on the menu. I ordered the cake at the check-in counter and waited a total of 25 minutes for a gentleman named Isaiah to bring the cake out. Keep in mind it was 6:24pm the restaurant was not busy at all and I noticed an abundance of wait staff walking around. Again after 25 minutes the gentleman named Isaiah brought the cake out verified my name gave me the order. I went to my car and check the order and noticed that there was no ice cream included. I returned to the counter and asked if ice cream was with the cake and the young immature woman at the counter said she doesn't think ice cream comes with the cake orders. I proceeded to then point out and read to her the item listed on the menu pointing to the words served with a scoop of ice cream. She then huffed and went to the kitchen and after about 5 minutes returned with a small container I asked if there were two scoops for the two orders that I paid for. She said yes I opened the container and showed her that there was only one small scoop present. She huffed again as I asked her to simply refund my money because this experience has not gone well. She pulled out a half sheet of torn paper asking me to fill it out. I asked how soon my refund would appear on my account to which she said it would take 3 to 5 days for me to be refunded. I did ask so you receive your payment at the point of service but I have to wait a week to get a refund? Of course she didn't have an answer. I think I was treated very disrespectfully by the staff at this establishment. This was a simple as an order could possibly get. There was no cooking required two slices of cake and two scoops of ice cream should not have taken that long and still been incorrect. There is simply not an acceptable excuse for such a poor encounter with this establishment. We have had previous encounters that have been very positive but this particular encounter again is unacceptable. I would indeed like to speak with someone from the management or supervisory staff to explain exactly what happened. For such a simple order to leave the kitchen without being checked for accuracy during non-busy time does not make sense. Now days we blame a lot on covid and the pandemic but that does not apply in this case. I've asked to speak with a manager to give them an opportunity to patch things up with me. I will update this post when and if they follow up.
