I personally had a great experience with Dr. Johnson with my cleaning/fillings! However, I must say that my husband did not with another doctor here. Since leaving the office a week ago today, my husband walked out of there with new tooth and jaw pain that we are being told hopefully will subside in the next days/weeks/possibly longer. His pain got worse in the last 48 hours, so much so that he hasn't been able to eat much and it is affecting him at work. I should mention that he already has chronic pain in the neck/back region due to another condition he has, so I think some of his pain might be due to him having to have his jaw open for a bit, however when I called to express my concerns/frustrations with how much pain he was in to see if Dr. Johnson could take a look at him (since I was worried the other doctor screwed something up), Dana attempted to talk things out with me via the phone. She began trying to help, but she eventually did end up laughing out of frustration because he was not wanting to stay on Advil or Tylenol (due to his chronic pain condition and his stance on drugs and medication, which is absolutely his choice). I wanted them to take another look at his mouth, to help to explain why this new pain is present, but Dana's energy was not the easiest for me at the time. When someone you love is in constant pain day in and day out, and now has additional pain due to whatever might have happened in his mouth, understanding and patience is always appreciated from the medical community and staff. We all have bad days, but since we were new patients here, we will be seeking a new dental practice due to his poor first experience at Fredericksburg Dental Care. Again, my personal experience here was just fine, but his was not. Dr. Johnson did agree to squeeze in seeing him between appointments, which we definitely appreciate. And thank you so much to his hygienist (I believe it was Catie), who was wonderful and took time to try to explain everything to us. Thank you!

Went in for my semi-annual cleaning and check-up. My dental hygienist was Stephanie and she did an outstanding job. I could tell that she was taking pride in her work. She was gentle, patient, and supportive and was able to answer all the questions I had. No feelings of any discomfort. Great experience. Almost relaxing.
