honestly this apartment is the worse building to live in at UMD. the building is out dated and gross. second none of the amenities seem to work. the elevators are always broken and the staircases are always unlocked which is very unsafe. the front desk people have terrible customer service specifically when trying to pick up your packages. the wifi doesn’t really work even though it’s supposed to be included in your rent. the varsity charged my roommates and i fees during the move out inspection without giving a good reason to what was wrong. they charged over 50$ claiming things were broken but from the photos it was due to dust. what cleaning products cost over 50$???? they charged for stains that previous tenants had left and they didn’t check those inspection forms for some reason when we moved in and claimed that it was us who cashed them. they obviously didn’t do a thorough job before our initial move in. honestly they just want your money and you really don’t get much in return besides a mediocre apartment. i wouldn’t recommend staying at this place again or with this management team. the only redeeming quality is that it’s right on top of looneys but even then staying at landmark or terrapin row would be better.
