The ABSOLUTE WORST sheriff department in Maryland! No ever answers the phone and when they do, they direct you to someone else who doesn't answer the phone!!! I paid to have someone served and they have yet to provide courthouse with proof of service. I have called numerous times leaving multiple messages, however, it has been 3 weeks and no one has contacted me!! I emailed the SGT (which you're informed to do so if she doesn't answer)and she has yet to respond! If this is how she's leading by example, it makes sense why the rest of the employees are trash! DO BETTER!!

Do not waste your time or money paying them to serve someone papers. They will give you the run around and swear up and down they have sent the paperwork to the courts without ever asking for your information to look it up. After trying for weeks and yesterday I was on hold for 45 mins!!! Someone picked up the phone asked me to hold, kept me on hold for 15 mins to come back and ask what I needed and proceeded to place me back on hold for another 30 mins! When they came back to the phone before they even had a chance to tell me to hold I informed her that I was already on hold for 45 mins just to ask a simple question… she said the system was down and to call back the next day. Mind you it was a Thursday and my paperwork, which I gave them and I knew for a fact the person was served over 30 days ago, expires on the following Sunday, just 3 days away. On Friday I finally reached someone who slightly cared enough to look up my information and she told me the person has not been served, but I knew for a fact he was because he told me out of his own mouth! So she proceeds to place me on hold and informed me that in their system it’s not saying he was served and she’ll have to contact me after she speaks with the sheriff. This is absolutely insane. I could’ve just had someone I knew serve him and been complete with this entire process minus the fee that was paid to him. Do not waste your time, energy, or money with this place. It’s not worth the headache.

P.G. County Sheriiffs Department needs to revise their Mission Statement and Vision. I do not feel protected nor do I trust the Sheriffs office. When it comes to arresting people on peace order violations the sheriffs office can and will drop the ball. The defendant was in custody in another state (waiting to be extradited) and P.G. County sheriifs office dropped the ball. My life and my child's life have been In danger for several months. I will be contacting internal affairs because everyday we are reading about women who have a peace order or restraing order against someone and they end up dead because the police let the suspect go or did not follow thru with protecting and serving. Absolutely disappointed and disgusted with sheriffs office. My unborn childs life means nothing to you all.

I had filed paperwork in Charles County to be served in PG county over two weeks ago and they continue to lie and say they hadn’t received it now I’m out of 205.00 of filing fees and on top of that their office is very unprofessional my plan is to contact 7 on your side if they can’t locate the paperwork
