This particular Buddy’s in Royal Oak has been In This location for years. It is important to know it’s carry out ONLY! The decor is sparse and really irrelevant. The service is as fast as you can get for a Detroit style deep dish pizza, which is usually approximately 25 minutes. So give yourself time accordingly. The minestrone soup here is excellent, authentic and delicious! I highly recommend the antipasto salad. I order nearly every time I come! In short, if you are wanting a Detroit style pizza to take home, this is the place!

Insatiable Traveler

Buddy's pizza used to be fabulous. They must have changed their dough recipe....it used to be thick and crunchy with great flavor. The last 3 times I have ordered it...it was flat, chewy and no crunchy edges (even with the request of well done) Buddy's is expensive and I don't mind paying if their high standards were still in place. VERY DISAPPOINTING Loui's Pizza still provides the style of pizza Buddy's used to.

I love buddy's pizza. Never ordered a pizza from this one until now. Completely undercooked, not even edible. Hint, if the cheese around the edge hasn't even begun to brown, it's not done.

So I don’t know where to start, but Buddies Pizza is fantastic. I feel like I am a weirdo because I love their salads, and their vinaigrette dressing is the bomb. I have got pizza from another place and picked up a salad from here. Pizza is pretty fantastic, but I don’t want you to think I have cheated on buddies with another pizza with their salads. Anywho buddies are the best Suppose you have not had it. Wow, you are missing out!
