The Wizard of Oz themed playground is a hit for the kids as well as the Carousel and small animal farm. It's also a great place to walk.

Great carousel, little farm, and mini golf. The train is closed for repairs this season and the playground was so packed with hardly anyone wearing masks. Will go back for the carousel again later this summer when the crowds hopefully go down.

Great fun for kids! I took my grandson and we had a blast on the carousel, mini golfing and playing in the amazing huge playground.

Yes the carousel and train are operstional at scheduled times. Check the website for MNCPPC, Watkins Park in Kettering, MD

Is this a good place to take a walk, sit and chill with your date without necessarily getting on the rides and stuff

Yes, there are several great hiking trails with benches along the way ( yellow, green, orange trails) where you can be back in the woods far from other people and away from the noise of the rides or can choose the most popular blue trail that is mostly paved and well travelled
