Such an amazing team over at Brandon J. Broderick, Attorney at Law. I worked with their Jersey City car accident lawyers recently and they secured a settlement that covered all my losses. I needed a chiropractor, he referred me to one of the top in the area. I needed someone to look at my car and appraise it, he sent me to one. All in all, Brandon offers a complete service and would refer him with confidence.

When I was injured in a construction accident, I immediately contacted the Broderick law firm in Jersey City. His office handled every aspect of my case with the utmost professionalism. Every member of the office knew me personally. I was not just a file number. In the end, I received a settlement far in excess of what I could have expected. I definitely recommend the Brandon J. Broderick to all my friends and loved ones.

I suffered a fractured pelvis and wrist related to the lack of a hand railing in a Jersey City apartment I was renting on April 2019. I had no intention of seeking out personal injury legal counsel on this matter until a friend urged me to speak to Brandon J. Broderick eight months after the accident. I initially felt like accidents happen and I was recovering and had moved on. In any event, I took my friend's advice and reached out to Sally. He made me feel okay about seeking damages for the ordeal that I had been through: two major orthopedic surgeries, a lengthy stay at a physical rehab center, 15 months of physical therapy learning to walk again, and a lot of pain and suffering. Brandon J. Broderick and his team made the part that I had to play in my case close to effortless. I provided them with the information they needed when requested, and they did all the work. They would provide quick updates and touched base with me every three to four weeks to provide anticipatory guidance as each step of move case progressed. Ultimately, my case went to mediation in Feb 2021, less than one year after my initial consultation with Brandon. In less than seven hours, my legal team was able to reach a settlement that everyone was happy with, and we were able to avoid a jury trial and all the unpleasantness that might go with it. Brandon and his team helped me recover COMPLETELY! I hope I never need a personal injury attorney again, but if I did, I most certainly would hire Brandon J. Broderick Personal Injury Lawyers.

After reviewing several law firms for my Personal Injury case, I met with Brandon J. Broderick, my Attorney and his team. I was immediately at ease and trusted their opinion of my case and knew they would have my best interests at heart. As my case progressed, Brandon kept me up to date on all actions they were taking, the status of the case of the aggressive stance and filings they were pursuing on my behalf. Even as Covid hit and a massive slow down occurred within the court system in Jersey City, Brandon J. Broderick stayed aggressive and looked for ways to bring my case to a settlement/conclusion. Which in April 2022, they were able to settle my accident case successfully and to my 100% satisfaction. I cannot recommend Brandon Broderick any higher. In short they are firm, fair, aggressive, responsive, super smart and know the numerous ins and outs of Personal Injury cases (which can be quite complicated). Upon hiring them you get a law firm that will leave you confident that your case will be handled expertly and with your interests front and center. After time you'll also realize that you've not only gained a great law firm and advocate, you've gained a group of trusted friends that you can count on for years to come. Thank you Brandon for doing an amazing job with my case!

Since the insurance for the at-fault party won't pay for your lost wages immediately after the accident, accident or illness, there are a few options to make up for lost wages and pay your bills while you wait for your settlement. If you’ve been injured in a car accident, PIP insurance can cover lost wages and must be exhausted first. There are other options for loans, lawsuit funding and even bankruptcy. We can advise you of your options and negotiate with healthcare providers to ensure your treatment is not compromised.

How do I pay my medical bills until I get my settlement?

If you’ve been injured in a car accident, the first option to pay medical bills -- and the first that must be used -- is PIP insurance. After that fund is exhausted or for other types of claims, most people utilize their own health insurance to pay medical bills until a settlement is reached. If that’s not a possibility or if the insurance policy maximum has been reached, it’s also possible to formally ‘promise’ a healthcare provider that the bills will be paid once the settlement is reached. We can advise you of your options and negotiate with healthcare providers to ensure your treatment is not compromised.

A release is a document that you sign in return for accepting the settlement funds. By signing the release, you are accepting the settlement and therefore releasing any other claims against the defendant and usually any other defendant related to the incident. In other words, once you settle you can never reopen the case or try to file a claim for additional compensation. If you are married, your spouse may be required to sign the release as well.

In New Jersey, you have rights to compensation or damages even if a car accident was partly your fault. Insurance companies look at several factors when determining fault and assign liability as a percentage. In New Jersey, if an accident was less than 50 percent your fault, you can still receive compensation for your damages. The amount or percentage of fault is determined on a case-by-case basis, and it all depends on the circumstances of the accident. In these types of complex cases, often involving more than two drivers or parties, consulting with an attorney can help you understand your options. We offer free consultations.

In a word: NO. Insurance companies are in business to collect money, not pay out claimants. As a result, they work vigorously to pay victims as little as possible. Often, they will attempt to contact an injured victim and try to settle for very little as quickly as they can. By having legal representation, your lawyer will handle all communications with the insurance company on your behalf and work toward securing the compensation you rightfully deserve.
