Room was filthy, had to clean sheets, mold and mildew on ceiling in bathroom. Smelled musty. No parking large trucks in the parking lot the entire time. People sleeping in vehicles with smashed windshield. Some guy had a fire in the parking lot cooking a meal. Just unbelievable.

Desk attendant, Chandra, was friendly and helpful. She gave us restaurant ideas and a list of vintage shops to find. Our room was nice, clean, bed was comfortable, and I like when the bathroom sink is outside the shower room so two ppl can get ready at the same time. They have round the clock coffee and hot water available. (I didn’t eat breakfast or use the pool so I can’t speak to those. Spoke with Ginger, Manager, and she’s just as nice as the first employee we encountered. Plan to stay here my next visits to Des Moines.

The worst hotel I've ever stated at. Chocolate milk all over the elevator floor, after Draging trash from it. The hallway was filfty. Needed vacuum. When I went to check out nobody's at the front desk. I asked a man who was folding laundry, if there was someone for the front desk. He says " she's not out there?" She was in fixing herself breakfast from the food that is supposed to be for the guest. And this is supposed to be a Choice motel . Never Again

This hotel is worn out. It’s sad that they are not doing updates as needed. Worst was black mold in the night stand drawer. There was tissue stuffed in the doors peep hole. Hot tub was covered and wrapped up. I thought we booked two queens but the beds are much smaller than a queen. That could have been our misunderstanding. Housekeeping left full bags of garbage along front desk. Not sure why the microwave and refrigerator weren’t in the entertainment center to give more space in the room. Both microwave and refrigerator did function, which is a plus. Best part was the pool water was very warm.
