Picked strawberries today! They are the most delicious strawberries! Appt. Was needed but other than that the three of us each walked away with 10lbs of strawberries in about 30 mins of pickin. You can also pick snap peas right now. The sell cider donuts and strawberry and cider slushies too!

Low key, family friendly, get in & out in a half hour if you want. This isn't a tourist attraction-- it's a pleasant little orchard. Update: There were many varieties ripe & available to pick the day we visited the orchard. We've been eating through our "peck" sized bag of apples and the apples are absolutely delicious. They are juicy and crisp and we've enjoyed them fresh and baked into a pie.

Strawberry picking is only in the month of June in Iowa
Gabrielle, unfortunately apple picking is not available this year - our u-pick orchard got hit by the hail storm in July. The trees are fine but fruit was damaged and will be used for cider. We have plenty of fresh prepicked apples at our Urbandale bakery from our other orchard. Red Delicious did not produce this year so we will not have any.
