AZFLIS, AZ Freelance Interpreting Services is a business with heart. They truly are committed to providing the best quality Interpreting services to the Deaf and Hard Of Hearing population in Arizona. They not only have the best interest of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community at heart, they cherish the interpreters they contract. As an Interpreter, I have always felt appreciated, respected, and supported by Joni, the owner, and all of the staff. I appreciate each of them and all they do for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and Interpreters.

AZFLIS provided outstanding ASL services for all of our wedding events during November 2019. The team always communicated with me timely and in a pleasant way. I initially learned of AZFLIS through a Google search and contacted them to find out more about their company and the services they provide. Since I am a CODA, I find myself holding ASL interpreters to a higher standard. AZFLIS put my mind at ease by allowing me to meet with the interpreters that accepted the wedding events I had requested coverage for prior to. Weeks leading up to the wedding, there were changes to who would provide services at the events. AZFLIS ensured we would have interpreters available as requested. There were four events, and I requested two ASL interpreters for coverage of those events. The two interpreters that provided ASL services were Jillian and Candis. Both did an excellent job ensuring our Deaf close family and friends had equal access to communication and were able to enjoy the events as well as feel like they were a part of it. Jillian and Candis were the perfect fit for us! Their skill level and professionalism were excellent. Jillian and Candis, we cannot say thank you enough! We highly recommend utilizing AZFLIS for your ASL interpreting needs, and we will utilize them for our future events!

This company has a deep understanding of deaf consumer needs. We have used them for interpreting services in the past and look forward to using them again. They do offer tactile and CART too, in case anybody else has these needs.

Hello Tenasia, we are not involved in the ASL educational process. However we do have a resource page that you may find helpful here: https://AZFLIS.com/how-to-become-an-asl-interpreter/
Hello Michelle, we do not provide ASL classes. Most interpreters begin their journey to become a certified ASL interpreter by starting with an Interpreter Preparation Program at local colleges. It would be best to check around in your area to see what is offered locally.
