Beautiful alpine lake. At over 8,000ft, and amply wooded, this is a wonderful oasis from the heat of the desert below. Cold winds can blow in the morning, bring a jacket. Great Lake for paddling around with lots of fish.

I would imagine so
You don't have to but you can, we just went up there for the day and we saw one reserved spot the rest were open first come first serve. Beautiful. It's nestled in a valley below the mountain
