We actually do not need it, however we do require everyone to sign out of their iCloud account on their iPhone before we can create a repair. This is an Apple requirement (not just GatorTec). In order to sign out of your iCloud account you will need to know the username and password.

We follow the same procedure that Apple does with regards to iPads. If your iPad fails a specific battery test from Apple it can be eligible for a battery exchange price. That means you will get a new iPad for a reduced cost.

We charge $60 for a diagnostic, which is typically applied to any repairs needed. With that said, based on the age of the machine, it cannot run the latest version of macOS and therefor cannot run the most recent version of iTunes, so you may be limited to what can be done because of that.

In order to have your battery replaced for free under your limited warranty, your phone will need to fail a battery test. This test can either be run by an AppleCare phone support agent by calling 800-275-2273 or by coming into GatorTec and having us run the battery diagnostic.

We are able to wipe the device to remove a passcode, it runs $29. Just please be aware it will remove everything from the device (photos, texts, etc) and if you have your iCloud account on the device, you will need the login for that to continue.

We cannot, you will need contact Apple directly for assistance in resetting your password for an AppleID you no longer have access to.

If it is just the password for the phone and you have the Apple ID associated with the phone, then yes - they can typically erase the phone and that will remove the passcode lock.

We require an appointment, but once you have that, we typically will have your phone done in two hours or less.

Yes, GatorTec uses only Apple glass, so it will be the same feeling as the original iPhone.
