I have been a patient at Daytona Eye Center for at least 20 years, and was extremely satisfied satisfied with them up until the last couple of years. It is almost impossible to get a human on the phone anymore, and while I understand that many businesses are short staffed, I just don't feel like my needs are being met. I was overdue for a contact lens appointment, and could not order the lenses I needed until I have an exam, but there were no exams available that worked with my schedule for several weeks. I was told I could have a trial pair of lenses to hold me over until my appointment, but there were none in my prescription. I was not told at the time I would have to pay a $30 deposit to get them, but that's not a problem. I waited a couple weeks and called again to see if any were available in my prescription, and, of course, did not get to talk to a human on multiple attempts to call the contact lens department, and although someone did call me back, it was while I was working, and could not take the call. Then I was back to leaving messages and trying repeatedly to reach someone. I finally got a call back this morning, after leaving an urgent message that I am leaving town, and have no lense for my left eye at all. I was told that the trial lenses would need to be ordered. Why did no one tell me that in the first place? I would have ordered them immediately! When I expressed my frustration this morning, I was told that I have been overdue for an appointment since June (they did not send me a reminder), so apparently their position is that this all my own fault. I guess I'll be looking for a new eye doctor.

Even though I was an hour early they took me right away and they moved me right along. Office staff and Dr were great

This place is stuck in 1960. No service, extremely long waits, even with appointment. NEVER coming back.

I have been getting my daughters glasses from here for about 3 years and at first the front desk employees were great. In July I called in to have her glasses replaced before school started and to schedule her annual eye exam. The young lady on the phone told me that they didn’t have an available appointments for her before school started but she could just reorder the Rx they had on file for her so she’d have glasses to start school. She told me it would take about a week and half (which I know is normal). I called back 2 weeks later to check on the status and the lady that answer the phone was extremely rude. She cut me off while I was talking and only responded with “We’ll call you when they’re ready”. I called every week after that to see what was taking so long and everytime the same RUDE lady told me the same thing. I wish I could’ve got her name, but her energy and attitude was horrible and she never let me get a word in. Yesterday I called back, fed up that it had been almost 3 months since I order the glasses and was told by a different front desk employee (who was very helpful) that no one ever order any glasses for my daughter. So now I’m back at square 1. I spent almost 20 min on the phone while the try to figure out what happened. Anyone who wears glasses knows that it can cause headaches. I am extremely disappointed that they handled me this way. I’ll be picking up her Rx so I can take it elsewhere because this was unacceptable to say the least!

Hi Sherry Bradford Daytona eye center opens up tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. hopefully you have a great night :)
Hi Elizabeth, yes we are open on Saturday. Hours are 9:00am -4:00 pm, we schedule patients from 9:15- 3:00 and we do accept walk-ins generally from 9:15-noon but if the schedule is extremely busy sometimes we have to stop taking walk-ins earlier than noon.
Appointments are recommended, but sometimes we are able to accommodate walk-in patients.
Yes, but you will wait so long that your prescription may change 2 or 3 times before you even see a doctor. Good luck & pack a lunch.
The Broom family and they're really nice.
